Why MissionSeek

What's scarce isn't records — it's judgment.

You reset goals every year, yet your judgment never compounds; you've saved a hundred frameworks and your model of yourself is still blurry. MissionSeek makes record → insight → action → verification a real loop — not another to-do list, but a machine that helps you think yourself clear and check whether you were right.

01

Record

Eulogy, decisions, emotion signals, weekly review — capture real input with low friction.

02

Insight

The AI plays devil's advocate and distills signal — noise becomes mission hypotheses and calibration gaps.

03

Action

Converge to ≤3 next steps a week — only what moves your North Star.

04

Verify

Decisions get scored on the date; skills need evidence — calibrate against facts, not vibes.

What's inside

Six mechanisms you won't find elsewhere — and that compound over time.

Each is built to be useful today and to compound long term — hard to copy, because it grows on your own data and history.

01

Eulogy North Star

No KPIs — derive direction from the end of your life. The AI helps you think through how you'd want to be remembered; it becomes the system's fixed star.

02

Decision calibration

Stake a confidence on every decision; reconcile on the due date. A Brier score shows the real curve of your judgment — and sharpens it week by week.

03

Mission-signal radar

Envy, anger, flow aren't just feelings — they point at what you're for. The AI clusters scattered signals into testable mission hypotheses.

04

Capability ledger

Skills depreciate. A level needs evidence or caps at L1 — no imaginary résumés, only real output.

05

Adversarial weekly review

The AI argues back, makes you face what you avoided, and converges next week's ≤3 actions and this week's North Star.

06

Anti-goals & low-point protocol

Name what you refuse to become; pre-commit a plan for the bad weeks while you're clear. Guardrails, not platitudes.

Data sovereignty

Your life shouldn't live on someone else's server.

Local storage, never uploaded

All your data is one local SQLite file, only on your machine.

Bring your own key

Use your own API key — privacy stays yours, cost is yours; the key is written locally only.

One-click export · full migrate

Export JSON, or copy one file to a new machine — like moving an Obsidian vault.

No lock-in · open-source

Open format, AGPL-licensed code — leave anytime. Stop using it and your data is still yours.

FAQ

Questions you might have

Where is my data stored? Is it uploaded?

Everything lives in one local SQLite file — never uploaded. Only when you use AI does relevant text go to the provider you configured (redacted first).

Do I need to be online?

Recording, review and the ledgers all work offline. Only AI follow-ups / synthesis / adversarial review call your chosen model. Local Ollama works fully offline.

Which AI models are supported?

GPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM — switch by pasting your own key in-app. You pay the provider directly; we add no markup.

Can it sync across devices?

No cloud sync — a deliberate choice for data sovereignty. To move devices, export JSON or copy the one file, lossless, like moving an Obsidian vault.

Is it open-source? Can I modify it?

Yes. MissionSeek is open-source under AGPL-3.0 — read it, modify it, build it, and contribute on GitHub.
